Sea Kayaking
Sea paddlers enjoy exploring the local coastline of Caithness and Sutherland which is some of the best in Britian. There are numerous caves, remote sandy beaches, stacks and cliffs to discover. The wide variety of wildlife such as seals, otters, dolphins and whales and the challenging tidal waters of the Pentland Firth makes the area truly unique. Sea kayaking provides the chance to discover a whole new world rarely seen. The club has also organised expeditions to Norway, Greenland and Croatia.
River Kayaking
During the winter months the paddlers take to the local rivers where there are rapids to be conquered. Alternatively, you can learn to play in them. During very wet summers the river paddlers have also been known to enjoy the warm waters.
Surf Kayaking
The local surf breaks are known by the world's best kayak surfers. The area has played host to two World Championships. Why travel to California when the best is here? There are numerous surf breaks around the coastline offering challanging surf for all abilities.
