What We offer

No matter what you are looking for in kayaking, we should be able to offer you something.

Sea Kayaking

Sea paddlers enjoy exploring the local coastline of Caithness and Sutherland which is some of the best in Britian. There are numerous caves, remote sandy beaches, stacks and cliffs to discover. The wide variety of wildlife such as seals, otters, dolphins and whales and the challenging tidal waters of the Pentland Firth makes the area truly unique. Sea kayaking provides the chance to discover a whole new world rarely seen. The club has also organised expeditions to Norway, Greenland and Croatia.

River Kayaking

During the winter months the paddlers take to the local rivers where there are rapids to be conquered. Alternatively, you can learn to play in them. During very wet summers the river paddlers have also been known to enjoy the warm waters.

Surf Kayaking

The local surf breaks are known by the world's best kayak surfers. The area has played host to two World Championships. Why travel to California when the best is here? There are numerous surf breaks around the coastline offering challanging surf for all abilities.

Open Canoeing

There are a number of lochs and gentle rivers which offer the chance to be explored using open canoes.

Paddle Boarding

Whilst the Club does not yet formally offer paddle boarding activities, a number of Club members own paddle boards and have completed a number of paddle board courses to develop their personal skills.
