The Club is fully committed to safeguarding the welfare of all children in its care and recognises the responsibility to promote safe practice and to protect children from harm, abuse and exploitation. The Club therefore takes on board guidance given by both the Scottish Canoe Association and the Highland Child Protection.
All club members who assist in the organisation / running of the Club are encouraged to undertake a formal training child protection. In particular this includes
•\tClub coaches and those asked to assist coaches
•\tVolunteers who will have one to one contact with children
•\tVolunteers who may supervise children
•\tVolunteers who may be asked to supervise children overnight
