SCA Great Glen Paddle Fest
As the Great Glen Canoe Trail project is almost complete, a paddling festival for open canoeists and sea kayakers of all abilities has been arranged to mark the official opening of Scotland’s first formal Canoe Trail. This paddling festival will be based out of Fort Augustus over the weekend 23-25 March 2012.
A wide variety of workshops have been programmed with over sixteen guest coaches and workshop leaders to give top tips, advice and coaching to the expected 200 paddlers attending.
As well as the programmed workshops running over the weekend, there will also be an open event with exhibitor & retail tents, boat manufacturers stands, various come and try sessions being offered ‘Free of Charge’ including stand up paddling, sit on tops, kayak, canoe, sea kayak demos, guided ranger walks and cycles plus lots more.
Full weekend tickets are already available online with day tickets and half day tickets available early in the new year.
