Key points from the Committee Meeting held on 19 January 2011
•\tThe Committee agreed to the purchase of 4 New open canoes, paddles and other associated equipment including a trailer.
•\tDue to the current economic climate, the Club anticipates that grant aid from awarding bodies will be reduced. Therefore new means of fundraising will be required.
•\tNew members to given log books and encouraged to record their progress
•\tA long term paddler development workshop, jointly with the Caithness Kayak Club, is to be put on by the Scottish Canoe association in April. Any interest paddler should contact the Secreatary
•\tEvery coach and committee member or those who assist in any way with youngsters in the pool or outdoor sessions must be disclosed. This needs to be renewed every three years.
•\tKey forthcoming dates to note:-
Next Committtee meeting: 14 March
Last pool session of season: 31 March
Club dinner Friday: 1 April (Provisional)
First outdoor session (experienced paddlers): Thur 5 May (Provisional)
Loch Watten fun day: Sun 8 May
